Team Building

Interactive team building games and exercises designed to strengthen team members. While developing thier abilities to connect and relate to others in a team setting.

Introduction to Humanitarian Law

International humanitarian law is a set of rules which seek, for humanitarian reasons, to limit the effects of armed conflict. It protects persons who are not or are no longer participating in the hostilities and restricts the means and methods of warfare. International humanitarian law is also known as the law of war or the law of armed conflict.

Service Project Planning 101

We will be covering the ins and outs of service project planning. topics such as site visits, volunteer recruitment, sponsors, leadership roles, day of planning and appropriate project selection. 

Service Project Planning Exercise

Students will be broken into teams and given a list of suggested service projects. Each team will choose a project and prepare a comprehensive plan to coordinate, and implement their teams project.

Day 2

Social Media

An in depth look at how to use social media to effectively further awareness of humanitarian efforts, local service opportunities

Visual Media

The power of visual media is immeasurable. Companies are willing to spend millions of dollars for a 30 second ad during large events like the super bowl all due to the power of media In this class we will explore ways youth can utilize media by creating videos and photography. During this session student will have the chance to work as a team to create a 30 second public service announcement about youth involvement in social issues.
